The Darbar Sahib, a symbol of universal faith and unity, invites all to its sacred grounds through its four entrances, open to people from every walk of life. Maharaja Ranjit Singh’s unparalleled devotion transformed the Gurdwara with his incredible and extraordinary donation of 162 kilograms of gold, which brought a divine glow to the structure.

Under his patronage, artisans worked tirelessly to apply seven layers of gold to copper domes and intricately embellish the walls with floral designs. This craftsmanship included canopies adorned with diamonds, rubies, and pearls, and walls inlaid with mirrors and precious stones, a reflection of the Maharaja’s dedication.

The depiction captures these artisans in action, bringing to life the grandeur that still stands today, symbolising both spiritual and artistic splendour.
